Low Value Exemption

The Ventura County Board of Supervisors adopted an ordinance in 2011, which exempts real property of $5,000 or less, personal property of $10,000 or less, and possessory interests of a transitory or temporary use in public owned fairground, fairground facility, convention facility or cultural facility with an adjusted base year value or full value of $50,000 or less.

The resolution does not exempt a low-value properties' individual Assessor's parcels or accounts that are component parts of larger total property economic units, such as parcels created for tax rate area (TRA) splits or sub-accounts created for Assessor's administrative purposes.
